At EDUCATE, we strive to empower the lives of our youth through a variety of programs. Our educational services are designed to provide youth with all the tools they need to be great leaders. We are happy to be the driving force behind the development of our youth and hope to continue making a difference in their lives.
AFTER SCHOOL MATTERS PROGRAM
The After School Matters program provides tutoring, STEAM, mentoring, teen counseling, college/career readiness, recreational sports, and cultural enrichment to K-12 students.
100% Commitment to the program
Mandatory (9) contact hours per week
Provide documentation as needed (report cards, progress report, school correspondences)
Positive reflective behavior of the program at all times
An academic-based organization for honor students. Scholars will compete in the Quiz Bowl and receive preparation for the school Spelling Bee and Science Fair.
Program fee ($25/month)
At Least (1) volunteer hr/month
Responsive feedback regarding student/program issues
We offer swim, cheer, bowling, basketball, canoeing, and cycling.
EDUCATE offers tutors for those who need it most. During this uncertain time, we have expanded our services to assist those who are having difficulty adapting to virtual/distant learning environments.
Activities are centered around culinary, performing arts, music, science, and technology.
COLLEGE & CAREER READINESS PROGRAM
The program offers individualized tutoring and mentoring to (50) middle and high school students. Each student will receive (9) contact hours per week with a mentor/tutor consisting of (3) hours of academic development, (3) hours of social development, and (3) hours of communicative services. Potential students will be interviewed as part of the selection process.
This provides an opportunity to experience and explore a specific career of interest by observing them perform.
The goal of this program is to better prepare our participants for college through ACT training.
Our goal is to show our participants the value of service and the positives of helping their community.
